Our cleaning team have 40 years experience. They can gently clean and restore to their original condition all types of rugs, including the most valuable and antique pieces.

A complete special cleaning will only be necessary after several years.

Care and Maintenance

With proper care, all rugs age with grace and can be handed down through generations.

For a home cleaning, please consider the following recommendations:

• Keep your rug clean and free of dust and dirt. Vacuum carefully in the direction of the pile.

• To avoid uneven wear and tear and colour changes through sun exposure, rugs should be turned regularly.

• Avoid exposure to direct sunlight for long periods.

• Avoid getting the rug wet, take care when washing the floor.

• Dab spilled liquids immediately with an absorbent household paper, do not rub. Brush the pile in the direction of the weave while still damp.Then treat the spot with lukewarm water. If necessary add a little bit of diluted, mild detergent. Do not use aggressive detergents (to avoid discolouration).

• If the rug is to be placed on a hard floor, we recommend placing a soft underlay between the rug and the floor.
