As a 100% Irish-owned and female-led family business, the Rugs.ie team is incredibly proud to celebrate 30 years in business this year.

The Holland Family

Established in 1994 by Brendan and Dominique Holland, Rugs.ie was originally based in MacCurtain Street, in the heart of Cork's Victorian Quarter. Brendan and Dominique's mission was to provide the people of Cork with the finest quality rugs and wood flooring - only the best would do.

Today, Rugs.ie continues to serve the people of Cork, while expanding throughout Ireland and internationally. We are proud to remain true to the original values of quality and premium craftsmanship 30 years on. Since 2016, the business is led by Managing Director, Phoebe Holland.

Celebrating our Heritage

30 Year Anniversary Logo

In honour of our 30th anniversary, we added a symbol to our logo which represents our history and heritage. The Rugs.ie logo was designed by incredible Cork-based designer, Nina Cáit, and encompasses a needle and thread symbol, celebrating our heritage in supplying the finest Persian rugs over the past three decades.

In 2024, our talented team member and Cork-based artist and designer, Alisa Krauss, added a beautiful symbol to our logo in honour of our anniversary. Alisa carefully created a bespoke pattern which is featured throughout the new 30 year symbol. The intricate pattern is based on the traditional designs of a Persian rug, the perfect celebration of our history.

Our Charity Partner 2024 & 2025

The Good Shepherd, Cork

As part of our anniversary celebrations, we have chosen to support The Good Shepherd Cork as our charity partner throughout 2024 and 2025. This incredible charity cares for women and children who are vulnerable to homelessness in Cork. We are delighted to support The Good Shepherd by giving our time and monetary donations. You'll find a donation box at our Douglas store too - if you are in a position to support this wonderful Cork Charity, we would greatly appreciate it.
